Mukti SAHU

Mukti Sahu lives in Kunda with her two sons and parents. She previously studied at KBIC until class 12 and completed her graduation from another college. She is currently studying B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) at KMM.

Q1. Why did you choose to study at KMM?

I did my graduation from another college, but I heard of the new management and the discipline, so I really wanted to study here.

Q2. What are your thoughts on KMM as a college?

I used to study at KBIC 8 years ago and there have been many changes since then. Back then, we didn't even have proper furniture in the classrooms, and there was no electricity most of the time.

Even not all colleges in bigger cities provide facilities that we are provided with here.

Besides getting to do practical teaching and project training as part of the B.Ed. course, we get to learn through various activities, seminars, projects and presentations.

Q3. What does Education mean to you?

Education is very important in our lives because we cannot move forward in life without it. You learn the difference between what's wrong and right.

I believe that even if a single person from a family in one village is educated, it makes a huge difference to what they do with their lives.

Q4. How important is it for girls to get educated?

In today's society, it is very important for girls to be educated. Girls that are educated can provide financial support. They also have qualities, values and morals which play an important role in their family life.

Q5. How important is it for girls to get educated?

In today's society, it is very important for girls to be educated. Girls that are educated can provide financial support. They also have qualities, values and morals which play an important role in their family life.

Q6. How can the education system be improved?

To improve the education system, the number of students per class should be limited to around 25. This way a teacher will be able to focus on each student and their progress better.

The education system needs to be fairer. People with money pay bribes to get their children's admission, and those who are poor miss out on the opportunity even if they deserve it.

There should also be more government schools and colleges so that the poor can afford to study.

Mukti's FATHER

My name is Suresh Chandra Sahu. I own a small business. All of my 4 daughters studied here.

Q1. What is your take on education in Kunda?

Apart from KMM, Kunda has not made much progress in the field of education. There are no proper schools or colleges, where children can acquire even the most basic education.

Q2. What are your thoughts on educating girls?

In this day and age, educating girls is very important. It allows them to be independent, gain respect and enables them to support themselves and their family much better.

Q3. What is the difference between KMM and other colleges?

There is a huge difference. You cannot find this kind of atmosphere and discipline in any other college. KMM offers its students more facilities and opportunities than any other college in this area.

Q4. What do you expect from your daughter?

Since all aspects of her education is of such high quality, I strongly believe that she will make the most of what she is learning here. I see a bright future for her.
